Tarot addiction or any form of divination or clairvoyance is a forgotten issue in the field of
addictions, more specifically, non-toxic or behavioral addictions. The scarcity of bibliography
in this regard vouches for this. From our clinical practice, however, the reality is that tarot addiction
is a problem trapping many people with devastating consequences in all areas of life. As
with pathological gambling, tarot addiction meets all the criteria to be considered an addictive
disorder. This article focuses on the negative effects generated by this addiction and associated
risk factors, as well as comorbidity with other disorders such as depression, anxiety, borderline
personality disorder and personality-dependent disorder, which will allow us to develop more
effective treatment programs adapted to the particular needs of each person.
